Striving to Create A Brave & Affirming Space for Individuals & Partners
to Engage in Tough & Tender Conversations
Hi Folks! Thank you for taking the time to join me here!
I enter the therapy room as a human first, a therapist second. As a queer bi-cultural woman, an immigrant, a mama, & a survivor of sorts, I join you with my lived experiences, research, education, & effective therapeutic skills. By offering a warm, non-judgemental, empathetic, trusting, safe, brave & affirming space, I am here to meet your unique needs, uncover your personal strengths & support you in navigating strategies to live the life you value & deserve.
I am committed to cultural humility, liberation of all oppressed groups, & work under the philosophy that our multiple intersecting identities (race, class, gender, sexuality, ability, culture) greatly impact our life experiences and mental well-being.
My approach to therapy is liberation oriented, integrative, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, anti-racist, intersectional, LGBTQ2IAS+ affirming, person-centered, and flexible. My background in Psychology, Queer & Sexuality Studies as well as Social Service Work for Immigration & Refugees, allows me to draw from multiple disciplines & offer my clients prevalent perspectives.
I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative techniques, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and follow a person-centered approach to support my clients.

This is Your Invitation to Join Jansu in an Affirming & Brave Space
Here, we embrace neurodiversity & 2SLGBTQIA+ identities, providing affirming care tailored to your unique needs.
Here, you are seen, heard, & valued in all of your intersecting & unique identities.
I invite all folks to join me exactly as they are.
Liberation Oriented, Intersectional,
Culturally Sensitive
Individualized
Your journey is unique, and so is my approach. I tailor my expertise to meet you where you are on your healing journey. I genuinely welcome you to join me exactly as you are while fostering a therapeutic environment that respects and supports your personal growth and healing process.Inspired by decolonial therapy, I understand the importance of honoring your unique experiences, identities, and cultural backgrounds. Unlike the one-size-fits-all approach often seen in Western psychology, I individualize support to respect your distinct needs. This ensures our work together is inclusive, adaptive, and truly reflective of your personal strengths and goals.

Trauma Informed
In every session, you will experience three pillars of
trauma-informed care:
Prioritizing safety to create a supportive environment where you can explore without judgment; fostering trustworthiness and transparency through open communication and clear boundaries & expectations; and promoting empowerment by recognizing your strengths and agency in reclaiming control
over your healing journey.
Client Centred, Non-judgemental
At the heart of my practice is a commitment to providing my clients with unconditional positive regard, empathetic understanding, genuine curiosity, a non-judgemental attitude, and reliable care. Your journey is uniquely yours, and I am here to support you with compassion and respect, empowering you to explore, grow, and thrive in a safe and nurturing therapeutic space

You deserve & require therapy that honours your unique identities & lived experiences. I see you as a multifaceted being & approach therapy with the understanding that our many identities (culture, race, sexuality, ability, gender, etc.) greatly impact and inform our life experiences and mental well-being. Recognizing that the personal is political, my approach is rooted in intersectional liberation psychology, and anti-oppressive lens, acknowledging the impacts of societal structures on our mental health. I provide expertise alongside culturally humility in a space dedicated to hearing & valuing your voice.
