ABOUT JANSU
Human First.
Therapist Second.
I enter the therapy room as a fellow human—a queer, bi-cultural woman, an immigrant, a mother, and a survivor of sorts who has walked through my own healing. I join you with my lived experiences & expertise to offer a brave space for your mental wellness & liberation.

MY FOUNDATIONS
Core Values & Philosophy
My work is grounded in these six pillars. They inform every session, ensuring we create a space of genuine safety, equity, and deep healing.
Intersectionality
We create space for you to be your authentic self without apology. We meet you with warmth and solidarity, honoring your humanity.
In Practice
I actively invite all parts of you—race, culture, gender—into the room, understanding they are inseparable from your mental health.
Radical Compassion
We help you soften the harsh inner critic and cultivate a sense of home within yourself, treating your pain with warmth rather than shame and pressure.
In Practice
When the inner critic attacks, we don't fight back. We meet it with warmth, understanding it's trying to protect you.
Anti-Oppression
Therapy should not replicate the harms of the outside world. We strive to create a space that actively dismantles power dynamics.
In Practice
We name the "elephant in the room." If you feel judged by society, we validate that reality rather than gaslighting it.
Authenticity
You can drop the mask here. We encourage genuine expression, inviting you to show up exactly as you are, unpolished and real.

In Practice
You don't have to "perform" wellness here. Bring your messy, unpolished, real self. It's all welcome.
Decolonization
We challenge colonial models of mental health, making space for spirituality, relational and somatic approaches to emotional & mental wellness.
In Practice
We welcome ancestral wisdom, spiritual connection, and non-linear healing that honors your heritage.
Radical Acceptance
We meet you with unconditional presence. There is no part of you that is “too much,” “too messy,” or “too needy.” Everything you bring is welcome here.
In Practice
We create a container big enough for your rage, grief, and joy, without rushing to "fix" or silence them.
THE RIGHT FIT MATTERS
Is This For You?
Therapy works best when there's a genuine fit. Here's how to know if we're aligned.
We're Likely a Great Fit
You identify as BIPOC, Queer, or hold marginalized & politicized identities
You are looking for relational therapist with lived experience, not a "neutral" therapist
You're navigating cultural identity & require a culturally competent space
You're a parent currently experiencing overwhelm & relational challenges
You are partners looking for a no BS therapist with expertise in relational success
You're 21+ and ready for deep, collaborative therapeutic work
We're Not a Great Fit
You're seeking psychotherapy for children or youth under 21
You're specifically seeking CBT-only or strictly protocol-based therapy
You're in active crisis needing immediate intervention (crisis lines available)
You prefer a therapist who avoids discussing systemic or social issues
You're looking for medication management or psychiatric services
If this sounds like you, I'm happy to provide referrals to wonderful colleagues specializing in these areas.
